I have never had a personal experience with Dermatitis!
Then, last summer, I was dog sitting. We were doing all of the fun things one does when a dog visits. We were walking on a nature path, going into woods and running across fields. At night, the dogs piled on me to watch TV, and this visiting dog lost out on the prime spot in my lap. So, she laid on my neck.
A couple of days later, I noticed that my neck was turning red and starting to itch. I thought the dog had given me poison ivy. Yet, the breakout was not responding to poison ivy treatments.
Eventually, it was all over my neck, and I did not know what it was or how to handle it. So, I stopped by my doctor’s office to ask, and he surprised me when he said it was a bacterial dermatitis. This was a brand-new experience for me, and it was crazy itchy.
The doctor prescribed medicines, oral and topical, that I applied to my neck. After a few weeks, I thought it was all gone and did not recognize that I had a tiny itch on my jaw between the face and neck. As time progressed, I noticed it was moving along my jawline. I started with the topical medicine again, but the dermatitis continued to move up my chin. It then, ran along the side of my mouth, and took a right, (around my Rosacea), to my cheek. It settled between the Rosacea and the skin right under my eye, landing on the side of my nose.
Once Dermatitis Hit My Face, I Had to Use Skincare!
It was only when I could see the dermatitis that the intense itching started. Hence, I began paying attention to what this monstrous thing was doing to my face, as it was driving me crazy.
First, I noticed dermatitis stayed off of my Rosacea and did not itch.
Second, I noticed those areas, which only got Serum for Intense Hydration and Repair Cream to Hydrate did not itch at all. Those spots also were not evident to the eye. One could see their shadow, but not the red, blaring tones. I instantly saw why those with dermatitis use this combination on their faces!
My normal skincare routine is our Ultimate Treat Rosacea Recipe. That recipe does not include the Cleanser to Hydrate or the Serum for Intensive Hydration. So, I changed cleansers and introduced the serum to my dermatitis!
Our Approach to Relieving Dermatitis
As a result of relieving dermatitis, I decided it was time to create recipes. They work long before the medicine is able to kill the dermatitis and may often speed up the medicine’s impact.
